The Minister Delegate at the Presidency in Charge of Public Contracts, Ibrahim Talba Malla has inaugurated the Southwest Regional Delegation of his Ministry in Buea.

Aside from the inauguration, the Minister equally visited some newly constructed project in Fako, among which are the VIP Unit of the Limbe Regional hospital and a storey building under construction at the Government Technical High School Ombe in Tiko Sub Division.

He also stopped at the FEICOM Limbe City Council market project and a low cost housing project in the Limbe III Municipality at Bimbia. This was on October 5 and 6.

In Limbe, his visit was greeted with excitement, considering that he was the one who laid the foundation stone of the Regional Hospital’s VIP Unit. That was when he was still the General Manager of SONARA from 2014 to 2019.

However, the project was later executed over a year ago by the new GM of SONARA, Jean Paul Simo Njonou.

“We all know that while serving as General Manager of SONARA, he initiated the project… So as part of his working visit to the Region, he decided to prioritize the one which he started. We are definitely very grateful for this honour,” said the Director of the Limbe Hospital, Dr Nyenti Areneke.

This was the very first time Minister Talba Malla was officially coming back to Limbe since his appointment in 2019.

He was especially welcomed during this visit by a crew of some of his former workers at SONARA who were led by the Communication Manager, Chief Ebong Pende, on behalf of their GM, Simo Njonou.

They offered him a special gift package and heartily shook hands with their former GM, now Minister.
